day 2

Day 2

On the second day of the internet workshop for editors and trainers, we started by learned how to open blog spot.

I manage to open the first blog spot called mgumu sana and promise that it will keep readers informed with the rural stories.

After learning about the journalism in the age of internet and read the speech of one of media tycoon, Rupert Murdoch, I found that there a lot of changes we in third world have to do.

As Murdoch said, it is now time to make necessary cultural changes to meet the new demand.
We need to do same changes because young people have changed the habits of news consumption and now they want to question, to probe and want stories in a new angle.

Due to the force of the market, print media might change from the old fashioned ways of collecting and publishing news to new technologies of using internet.

I really agreed that, the new generation as now forced the news print to change by adding online services and for those who had not yet change must be prepared to do so.

Even though, I also believe the newspaper will change but not die.
